Xinjiang is a district with which there are many ethnicities live in, people’s livelihoodconcerns the social harmony and stablity in Xinjiang.2011is the year of people’s livelihoodconstruction, the autonomous region government treats the people’s livelihood issue as theemergency work to be done, and it also the issues that government officers and scholars mostconcern about. Based on the literature review and field survey the thesis studied the reasons whyminorities weak-in employment, at last it has put forward suggestions and advices to solve theproblem.The first part declares the background and meaning of the thesis, sums up the researchcondition in and out of China, based on the literature research it decides what to be done next andwhat content will be included. The second of the thesis defines weak-in employment groups and itdeclares employment and social security theories for followed research.The third part is the research about employment condition and questionnaire. It analyses incomposition and distribution of minority respondents, number of family members, average incomeper month, basic consumption expenditure. The study found that Uyghurs are the main part ofrespondents, number of family members is higher than Xinjiang level, education level is primaryschool and illiteracy, type of weak-in employment is “low income households” and “4050”.The fourth part, analyzed by Likert scale, found that the average of “weak-in employment” is3.78is higher than theoretical number3, the histogram stays right-skewed, refers to “too hard”.Moreover, the thesis built a employment influence factor model with SEM (short for StructureEquation Model) to analyze the relationship and effect between the latent variables such asrespondent condition, social security policies, organization of social security, burden of the family,economic situation, life condition, will of be employed, the degree of weak-in employment.Empirical study results proof that improve the respondents’ life condition, training respondents’work skill, lighten the burden of the family, reduce the dependence on social securityorganizations can only wear down the will of weak-in employment.In fifth part, combined with empirical study results and macro economic factors, it exploresthat there are these followed reasons may make the minority weak-in employment:1. ideasconservation of hunting a job;2. labor quality is low;3. urbanization level in district is low;4.overpopulated in some areas;5. there is a contradiction between industrial transformation andemployment structure;6. perspective policies for urban and rural area. Accordingly,it takes themechanism analysis which based on the research of influence factor of weak-in employment,mechanism analysis found that low labor quality, grim job situation and self recovery ability weakof employ market leads to the minorities hard to find a job together.In sixth part, from government minority middle size enterprises and social employmentenvironment standpoint, it put forward suggestions and advices to solve this problem. At the end of the thesis (7thpart) it reviews the conclusions of each part, and it also declares the innovationsand mistakes in the thesis, at last, the following research direction and context were discussed.
