In recent years, with the further research of risk analysis, risk management has beenwidely used in the field of hydropower projects, providing a reference for thedecision-making and management of hydropower project.Since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, the construction of waterconservancy and Hydropower project has been started. Following the entrance of WTO,more and more China’s hydropower construction enterprises have merged into theinternational market, participating in the construction of the hydropower project. Based onthe studying of existing documents and combined with the reality of the actual constructionprocess,Indian Jurala hydropower Project is chosen as a specific subject of analysis, it’slearned that in the multinational hydropower projects during the process of construction thecommon potential risks may be economic risk, technology risk, quality risk, managementrisk, political and policy risk and security risk. Particularly, the main risks of India Juralahydropower project are classified in grades by taking advantage of the method ofmaximum entropy.Finally, regarding the Indian Jurala Hydropower Project, this paper argues that thefollowing measures could be taken for the smooth and successful execution of the sameproject:increasing staff’s security awareness, taking protective measures and strengtheninglabor management against security risk which is defined as very dangerous and criticalrisk; purchasing of investment insurance,careful investigation of local market, fullyknowing the terms and conditions of host county’s laws and regulations and timelycoordination with all involved parties against economic risk; reasonably applying ofadvanced technology and perfecting of construction procedures against technology risk,;improving the internal management and enhancing staff training and quality to reduceproject management risk; heightening process control and procedures perfecting as well asstrictly complying with corresponding standards and design requirements in different stageof preparation before construction, construction period and operation period againstquality risk; paying attention to India social situation and diplomatic relation changes withChina and timely adjusting and adapting to Indian political and policy changes to avoid thepolitical and policy risk even which is defined as slightly dangerous one only.Shu Shuanghu(MBA)Directed by:Chen Jianhua...
