China is the most populous country in the world, the personal interests and social harmony and stability of employment concerns thousands of households family. Employment has become a very serious social problem which Chinese government has to deal with, especially in minority areas, especially the employment of Xinjiang minority is facing great difficulties, and has aroused widespread concern in society. In recent years the rapid development of Xinjiang’s economy is getting better and better, but at the same time, the economic growth has not been matched by high employment, instead the employment pressure has become heavier, especially minority employment difficult problem is more prominent. Employment is vital to people’s livelihood, in relation to the construction of social stability and harmony of society, especially the employment problems of ethnic problems in relation to the sustainable economic development of Xinjiang. General Secretary Hu Jintao proposed that Xinjiang should comprehensively promote the action plan for employment, create more jobs and improve the employability of people of all ethnic groups in2010May at the meeting of the Xinjiang central work conference. It is also mentioned in sixth chapter of "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" which related to "make every effort to increase employment"The employment situation in Xinjiang is similar to the mainland, But the different is Xinjiang has many minorities and there are many different respects with the Han which leads to Xinjiang minority employment situation is not optimistic. Xinjiang minority employment is not only a pure economic problem, but also has been involved in political stability in Xinjiang, It related to evaluation of the minority people to the reform and opening up and the party’s national policy. It will seriously affect the construction and development of harmonious society in Xinjiang if the employment problem of minorities cannot be solved properly. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen government intervention on minority employment to built a employment mode which fits the establishment of the minority nationalities in the development of Xinjiang area under interaction between the state and the market.Why the minority employment rates of Xinjiang are generally lower than other area? How to take effective measures to alleviate the employment pressure of the minority? This dissertation described the background and significance of this thesis in the first chapter, the basic idea including the current research situation, research methods, research object, and the innovation and insufficiency; The second chapter introduced the theoretical basis of employment of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang; The third chapter introduced the status and problems of minority employment of Xinjiang;The fourth chapter explained the reasons behind its employment problem in view of the present situation of Xinjiang minority employment and the existing problems; The fifth chapter introduced the comparison and reference of foreign government which are successfully dealing with the problem of employment; the sixth chapter put forward in relevant suggestions which are standing in the government finance function under the background of market economy.
