With the prosperity and development of the world economy, the impact of energyfor human civilization is increasingly important, increasingly severe resource depletionand environmental issues at the same time brings. Fossil energy as the driver of the originof the modern society is being used around the world to drive the economy for thepurpose of the consumption. There will be a lot of carbon emissions in the use of fossilenergy, led to the gradual rise in global temperatures caused by climate anomalies. Abouthow to balance between carbon emissions and economic development became the focusof attention of the world. About how to balance between carbon emissions and economicdevelopment became the focus of attention of the world. Accompanied by the mostrecent decades, the process of integration with the global economy is picking up speedgradually expand the scale of the world’s trade. Not only reflected in the increase in thetotal number of countries to participate in international trade, is also reflected in the rapidgrowth of the overall amount. The trade between the countries more and more intensify, making the international import and export credits to a substantial increase. In1990, theworld trade volume is only69,990,000million U.S. dollars, while in2011this figureincreased to319,063,000million U.S. dollars, the growth rate of as much as400%. Sucha large-scale foreign trade, will inevitably lead to produce large amounts of carbonemissions in the production, and the calculation of a country’s foreign trade in carbonemissions in the international export commodities of carbon emissions in mind in thebody of the exporting country, and country of consumption of these products do not bearthe carbon emissions generated in the production of these goods, which led to exportingcountries at the expense of their own country’s environment, emit large quantities ofcarbon dioxide, and to meet the consumption needs of the importing country, this will beexporting country’s environmental protection cause tremendous pressure and facingadverse situation of the country in the international energy conservation issues. Thispaper compares the carbon emissions in China and Japan’s foreign trade relations, thepurpose is to learn from the advanced experience of the development of low-carboneconomy, to provide a scientific basis for predicting the trend of China’s carbonemissions and the development of low-carbon economic development goals, thus contributing to China’s long-term economic development of carbon. In this paper, the introduction and the body of the four parts of a total of five parts. The introduction describes the first part, an overview of the foreign trade situation inChina and Japan as well as carbon emissions and describes the basic methods and thetheoretical basis of this paper to calculate research. The second part explain the papersInstitute based on the data sources, and demonstrate the method and process of dataprocessing and industry classification. The third part is the empirical study. Calculatedusing data collected by industry in China and Japan the completely carbon intensity aswell as trade index, and on this basis, the use of the software EVIEWS regressionanalysis for the study of carbon emissions and export trade relations. The fourth part of afinal summary of the conclusions of the paper, and describes the strategy adopted for thedevelopment of low-carbon trade, even build a low-carbon society for China’s energyconservation and emission reduction, the development of low-carbon trade with Japanthan corresponding policy recommendations.
