The Feasibility Analysis Of Sudan FULA Power Project For ZS Company

Overseas EPC projects are featured with high technology, huge amount of investment, diversity factors, long time span and uncontrolled risks. These variables may be added in relation with different countries’ political and institutions systems, economical developing level and traditional cultural conditions. Unpredictable and high risks are two main features of overseas EPC projects. Therefore, it is extremely important to draft a sound marketing research and risk assess in prophase survey. For the purpose of reducing risk, increasing profit and providing a practical measures for top management further decision, this paper would detailed study, state and argue the feasibility of the thermal power plant construction project in Fula area Sudan, considering the project’s background, macro environment, political situation, local competitors and ZS company preliminary design plan. The author applies the theory of project management, and the basic knowledge of operational management, financial management and risk control to conduct a comprehensive analysis of project present situation. Through this analysis, ZS company could achieve the purpose to prevent risk and access project profit.The main study and method:Surveying the aspects of international situation, local economy performance and market development in terms of SWOT; primary analysis to project site chosen and construction goal; primary proposal to commission scheme, schedule, labor safety and environment protection; economy access by ways of financial tools; unpredictable analysis to major risks and crisis response program.This paper is based on relative surveys and a series of management tools. It is aimed to argue the correctness of Fula thermal power plant construction project of ZS Company, access the project proposal by PDCA circle and finalize the implementation phases. It also helps ZS Company clarify the operating pattern, access potential risks and draft the Emergency Plan. The conclusion shows that this EPC commission would be a demo model for other overseas projects, but also increase the reputation of ZS Company among worldwide. It would greatly enhance the friendship between Sudan and China, in the same time bring large profit for ZS Company.
