According to the deployment of National deepen telecommunications system reform, basic telecommunications services and the corresponding assets and personnel of China Satellite Communications Corporation were transferred to China Telecom Group Corporation. It is urgent problem to be resolved in current stage that how to converge the he satellite communications business, traditional fixed telephone service of China Telecom, mobile communication services and broadband business. This dissertation focuses on how to take full advantage of the unique advantages of satellite communications, and make China Telecom’s entire business operations have the competitive advantage compared to the other carriers. The achievements of this dissertation can provide added values for the future development of the whole business of China Telecom.Therefor, combined the market competition situation of communication industry and satellite communication development trends, the thesis analyzes and discusses the integration of satellite services and market evolution under the entire business operations environment. Through research on the integration of satellite communications and external environment, its own advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and challenges faced currently, and businesses and customers differentiation, convergence and development pattern of satellite businesses is established. Forthermore, the steps and actions of how to merge satellite communications into the full-service of China Telecommunications are also drafted.
