Slovakia Collaborative Research With Chinese Tourism

China and Slovakia, as two traditional friends, have good cooperation tradition in both economy and culture. Although the tourism cooperation of these two countries is in the bud, I saw the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the future and then decided to pursue tourism studies in China. Firstly, Slovakia is a nation with great enthusiasm concerning travelling, in which nearly20million people travel each year since1996. Secondly, China has developed rapidly in the past twenty years and changed immensely, Chinese culture has gained popularity around the world, and more and more people are inspired by this mysterious oriental country. We have learned that there were3347people who applied for tourist visa in2011and4115people in2012. It has increased nearly by23%, as the years go by and as a result Slovak citizens begin to prefer China as their favourite tourism destination, cities as Beijing and Shanghai are the most popular.Slovakia is rich in natural resource and precious cultural resource and also has a deep historical background, and China is vast with rich historical background. With the economic growth between two countries and increase of close bilateral cooperation, cooperation of tourism between Slovakia and China will be promising in future. Therefore, the present paper will study and analyze the current situation of tourism cooperation between these two countries, its development, the problems as well as prospects for the future, with an aim to find the reason for these problems, thus putting forward countermeasures and suggestions through the use of SWOT analysis.First of all, to promote tourism cooperation between China and Slovakia, we should introduce the two countries through a tourism day and more diversified activities, letting the people of both countries know more about each other.Secondly, travel agencies of the two countries should cooperate positively; develop distinctive and customized service and route in accordance with the characteristics of the two countries tourists.Thirdly, in recent years, enterprises will organize employees to travel abroad as reward and encouragement, so it is a good choice to attract enterprises to organize employees to travel to each other’s countries.The research is by no means perfect; there are limitations. Because of the limitation of manpower and material resource, the results can’t be perfect; there are expectation and disappointment in the process of the research, joy and frustration, failure and success, but no matter what the result of the research is, it comes to a successful outcome. I, teachers, friends and the support and understanding of respondents are much appreciated during the study; furthermore, I will clarify in-depth and research the tourism pattern of both nations and its progress into future. Hence more contribution to tourism cooperation and exchanges between China and Slovakia should be enhanced and encouraged.
