Since thirty years of reform and opening up, food and beverage enterprise of our country hasbeen developing rapidly.The number of food and beverage enterprise continues to increase, thescale is also growing.However, what is more worrying is that, in recent years, food and beverageenterprises often report the negative news. This caused the social from all walks of life,especially consumers for the concerns of corporate social responsibility. However,food safety isrelated to the survival, health and quality of life of each of us. It has grown that the societyrequests the enterprise to fulfill their social responsibility. On the other hand, China’s food andbeverage enterprises also encounter competition from domestic counterparts and foreign famousenterprises.Therefore,they need to improve their competence to obtain the bigger developmentspace.This paper is based on the theory of corporate social responsibility, enterprisecompetitiveness and their evaluation, using the combined method of normative research andempirical research.Then, combined China’s food and beverage enterprises, research andanalyse the relationship between social responsibility and competitiveness of the sevendimensions of shareholders, creditors, employees, suppliers, consumers, government,environment. And, according to the theory of the relationship between social responsibility andcompetitiveness, from the perspective of stakeholders, put forward research hypotheses, anddesign the indicators of corporate social responsibility and competitiveness. Finally, throughcorrelation analyses and regression methods, we will discuss the relationship between corporatesocial responsibility and competitiveness to verify the proposed hypothesis. The results of theempirical analysis shows that corporate social responsibility and competitiveness are positivelycorrelated, and there is a lag.
