The iron and steel industry, an important basic industry of China’s economic development,involves wide and is closely associated with the related industries. With the accelerating pace ofChina’s industrialization process, the iron and steel industry is playing an increasingly importantrole in the process of economic development. However, along with the development of economicglobalization and the knowledge economy, in China, the competition among the iron and steelenterprises is becoming more and more intense, and the ways they compete are not limited to thecompetition between individual enterprises within the industry, but to use the supply chainmanagement with high flexibility and agile responsiveness to integrate upstream anddownstream supply chain resources, exchange sharing information, and ultimately achieve thegoal of quick response to users’ demand and reducing operating costs. As China’s iron and steelenterprise supply chain is a complex chain network structure, the instability of the internalenvironment and the uncertainty of the external environment lead to the brittleness of the supplychain, so that during the risk management of the supply chain decision-makers can notthoroughly analyze the risks of supply chain operation process and risk drivers, and can notmake scientific predictions, which often makes the supply chain process deviate from theexpected trace, resulting in the loss of the whole supply chain. Therefore, the importance of theanalysis on risk factors identification of key links and related aspects in China’s iron and steelenterprises in the supply chain operations process risks can be imagined. Based on that, thispaper selects the analysis of the problem of China’s iron and steel enterprises supply chain riskidentification and engages a study, from the dynamic transmission risk point of view, whichrecognizes the path of the existence of China’s iron and steel enterprises supply chain risks andthe key links of the birth of risks, and makes a thorough analysis on the related risk factors so asto provide a reference for the decision-makers of the iron and steel enterprises supply chain risksin China.Firstly based on the related theory summarized and the relevant concepts defined, this paperdivides China’s iron and steel enterprises supply chain into upstream and downstream ones andalso analyzes the overview and operation process separately. Then mapping the operationprocess of China’s iron and steel enterprises to Petri net model, the paper makes five kinds ofassumptions based on the reality of the actual situation, sets the relevant parameters andestablishes a complete Petri net corresponding to the operation processes of China’s iron andsteel enterprises; Finally, this paper not only identifies the path of the existence of China’s ironand steel enterprises supply chain risks according to the static analysis, and the key links and riskfactors of the birth of supply chain risks according to the dynamic analysis, but also analyzes thefocus of future research.
