The country’s trade strategy changes as conditions changing. Economic globalization,increasing competition, and the development of information technology, science and technology,as well as the diversification of consumer demands, make the foreign trade environmentincreasingly complex and dynamic, changing competition rules. The traditional trade strategytheory only emphasizes the adaptability of the country, and the traditional theory of comparativeadvantage which guides our trade plunged the country into a vicious circle of tradeimpoverishment. Therefore, starting from the ecological point of view, the paper takes a lookinto initiative trade policy to study the country’s trade strategy, designed to provide a theoreticalbasis for countries to develop a strategy of active trade.Firstly, the paper mainly analyzes the status quot of China’s foreign trade to make a generaldescription of our current position in the division of labor and foreign trade structure. Followedby the fourth part is that China’s facing an situation of the low added trade value and the lowposition of the global division chain. At meantime, active trade, to respond to changes in theecological environment of international trade as well as the requirements of countries to climb upfrom the low cooperative chain and enhance the right to speak is called to form. Then in the fifthpart, the article shows the content of traditional theory of national competitive advantage as wellas a new expanded form from the initiative of a trade perspective based on this theory to pointedout that the two paths of fostering the national trade competitive advantage. At the end of thearticle, the use of the active trade theory proposed in this paper as well as national competitiveadvantage theory both help combing the Chinese foreign trade development strategy.
