| Cables are increasingly laid by means of pipeline, instead of direct-buried method. Before laying cable, dredging the pipeline is always indispensable. Traditional dredging process is done manually by use of plastic rod. The method is cost heavy and inconvenient, also subject to the limitation in length. For solving the problems existing in cable laying and maintenance, improve the automatic level, a power cable pipeline monitoring system based on LPC2000 series 32 Bits ARM7 chip was developed.Firstly, the frame and functions of the whole system are introduced. Secondly, the hardware of the monitoring system is designed. And finally, the controlling software of the robot and handhold controller, as well as the JPEG image decoding software is described. It is difficult to design the JPEG image decoding software for handhold controller. So in the dissertation the file format of JPEG image is explicated in detail. And the JPEG image decoding software as well as image displaying software is programmed in PC with C++ language, which is further migrated into the handhold controller.The system is certificated by Shanghai Quality Inspection Center of Mechanical and Electrical Products and recognized to be novel. |
