Warehousing management is an important part of logistics; however, mostof the current warehousing management modes still have some drawbacks. Forexample, only manual documentation or bar code technology can be used in theinbound, outbound, shifting, inventory and other warehousing operations; Thepaper documentation is complicated and easily to be mistaken. Meanwhile, thebar code information can be easily damaged and only be read one by one closely;The above methods need manual to participate in warehousing management,which result in lower efficiency.RFID function of handheld terminal for warehousing management based onembedded technology is developed in this paper. The handheld terminalcooperated with UHF RFID read-write device could automatically collectcommodity information in a certain range during warehousing operations andcommunicates with PC by means of WiFi. The main work is summarized asfollows:Aiming at the characteristics of the warehouse management, such as somany tags with extreme similarity of serial number, a hybrid anti-collisionmethod of RFID tags is provided. The method which is given in this paperimproves the tag recognition rate through MATLAB simulation analysis.Hardware platform of handheld terminal for implementing RFID function isdesigned. Processor, power module, LCD module and RFID module are includedin this platform. Besides, the core processor of the handheld terminal isS3C2440A and the RFID read-write device is controlled by processor throughthe SPI to read or write tag information.The RFID function of handheld terminal is implemented on software andtested. A Linux operating system is transplanted to the platform and the RFID module driver is developed. A graphical user interface combined with Qt isdesigned,it includes the specific operations of outbound, inbound, inventory andRFID read-write operations, it also contains the relevant information display.Finally, some relate tests on the entire system are made.In this paper, RFID function of handheld terminal for warehousingmanagement based on embedded Linux operating system is developed. TheMATLAB simulation demonstrates that the mixed anti-collision method of tagsis improved in tag recognition rate. Combined with hardware and software work,the basic reading and writing function of RFID read-write device for handheldterminal is implemented and the efficiency of warehousing management isimproved. So the handheld terminal has a certain practical and promotional valuein logistics.
