The copy activities discussed in this thesis not only involves the onewhich only duplicating the original book in order to make money or study, but theactivities that result in a different text according to different creations as well.The copy activity in ancient China has a close relation with Hermeneutics. Thefoundation of copy and collation is the former understanding and the meaning of textwill enriched by copying continuously. But we should notice that text will revised basedon different understanding and only in this way can we try to restore the original textand study the cultural context of the people who made the copy.
