China is a manufacturing powerhouse in the world. With the continuous improvement of information technology, Chinese manufacturing is developing into more precisely and large-scale equipments. The high-cost equipment is recognized by the enterprise, as it has the absolute advantage in the aspect of functions and degree of automation. Large equipments occupy an important position in the machinery industry. Many factors lead to equipment failure in the use of the process equipment. Such as overload, component aging etc. Equipment faults will bring different degree of damage to the enterprise. Small fault will cause the equipment performance, product scrap, and serious fault will cause the production, equipment damage, even casualties. The most of domestic enterprises in recent years have adopted the fixed term maintenance and fault maintenance methods for repair management of large equipment. The defect of regular repair is excess repair and deficiency repair. After the failure of repair is the existence of security risks and Effectiveness Problems. The developed countries in recent years change the repair management of large equipment from the regular repair and fault repair to the state repair. A new maintenance method not only reduced the incidence of equipment failure, effective deployment of the maintenance cycle, but also brings considerable market benefits.The state repair, also known as prediction repair, is defined as a repair method which is using computer for state monitoring and fault prediction and diagnosis of equipments. Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of equipment is a new science and technology, which is produced by mechanical engineering, signal processing, detection technology, software application, artificial intelligence and many other theory. Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of equipment has powerful functions, including online monitoring, data analysis, state judgment, prediction and fault diagnosis etc.The Research Objects of State Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis System of Ring Rolling Machine are Gear box, hydraulic system, measuring system and die in this paper. The author research the State Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis System of Ring Rolling Machine based on BP neural network. The main contents of the paper include structure analysis, hardware design and software design, as soon as the system’s anti-interference and reliability.The first part of the paper analyzes the demand of the State monitoring and fault diagnosis system of ring rolling machine. It is shown that the State monitoring and fault diagnosis system of ring rolling machine plays an important role in ring rolling machine’s gearbox and hydraulic system. The paper also introduces the method to diagnose gearbox’s failure by using BP neural network and hydraulic system’s failure through the fault tree. In addition, the article also describes on how to establish characteristic state parameters which is used for the State monitoring and fault diagnosis system of ring rolling machine. Finally, the paper is dedicated to an introduction to the System structure design of the State monitoring and fault diagnosis system.Then, the author designs an introduction to the hardware which is designed to the State monitoring and fault diagnosis system of ring rolling machine. Hardware circuit includes two kinds of signal acquisition. One is a oscillator signal, anther is a displacement signal. With the interaction of the charge amplifier and A/D data acquisition card, the oscillator signal which is collected by an acceleration sensor, is converted to digital signal. Finally, the IPC is the use of digital signal. The displacement signal which is composed of a laser displacement sensor is converted to digital signal by the A/D module of CC-Link. Together with other monitoring parameters, the displacement signal is transmitted to the IPC through Mitsubishi serial communication module. This paper mainly introduces the hardware selection, composition and set. At the same time, the paper also introduces the importance of using dual sensor measurement.After that this paper tells the Software Design of State Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis System of Ring Rolling Machine. Firstly the author introduces software and control to be used. There are Visual Basic6.0, MATLAB, EXCEL2003and MX Component and DLL etc. Then the author illustrates how to implement the interface programming with Visual Basic6.0and the external programming. Finally, the author describes the system function module programming, especially vibration signal processing and MATLAB program call.This article finally explains the importance of for industry systems and the importance of reliability design and measures of anti-interference technology for the system. The article also describes the anti-interference technology of this system and the redundancy technology of hardware and software.
