Motion control is an important direction of industrial control and automation. Mo-tion control applications related to CNC, printing, robotics, automation and other fields, advanced motion control technology can effectively enhance the level of China’s high-tech manufacturing field such as military and aerospace.The traditional motion controller cannot meet the requirements of flexibility and openness of modern manufacturing systems from programming method to hardware architecture. With the development of technology and international standards, the open and reconfigurable motion control platform has become an important aim for motion control technologyIEC61131standard specification proposed unified development environment for motion control programming language; The PLCopen organization established a stand-ard, modular platform for motion control functions. More and more motion controller based on standard PC and standard controller software,which get rid of dependence on proprietary hardware. Development of industrial real-time Ethernet technology is also provide the foundation device connection and communication for the open motion con-trol platform.CoDeSys is an international IEC61131-3-based motion control software solutions which is widely used and studied. With independent intellectual property rights of Shandong university CNC research center, The EtherMAC industrial real-time Ethernet fieldbus also has many successful applications.This paper wants to design an open motion control platform based on CoDeSys and EtherMAC. Describes the development of motion control platform, IEC61131standard and PLCopen motion control standard. Suggests a synchronization mechanism between CoDeSys programming environment and EtherMAC bus, and descript the de-sign and implementation of the EtherMAC interface library CmpEtherMAC and EtherMAC real-time Ethernet communication libraries. Finally, take the winding ma- chine control system for example; verify the validity and reliability of the open motion control platform.
