The attractive intuitive operation of touch screen does not only gain faster input rate and convenience but also saves space as a bidirectional interface by combining the display and input space. More and more manufacturers make touch screen, which also make touch screen popular. However, the user experience of touch interaction can be reduced by many factors, such as "fat finger" and occlusion. In this paper, we study how to improve the touch experience, including making legacy software fit for touch interaction, improve the user experience of the application across the hardware platform, raise the touch experience of the visualization. We present adaptive user interface to increase the touch experience and the edge bundling algorithm fits for touch interaction.The main work of this paper is making legacy software fit for touch interaction, android application user interface design using touch friendly size and edge bundling algorithm fit for touch interaction.1. In order to make the legacy software fit for touch interaction, we present a holis-tic design valuing human capabilities, hardware ergonomics and environmental factors to improve usability in context of execution when interacting with legacy software on touch surface and name it as Fitouch. Fitouch proposes a touch-friendly user interface for legacy software by analyzing issues raised when old user interfaces designed for mouse interaction are adopted for touch interaction.2. Android is one of the most popular mobile systems. However, the Android has fragmentation problem, which means there are many different types of touch screen, and the touch screens have different precisions. Moreover, the user dif-ferences will reduce the user experience on the unified user interface. We propose a method which design the user interface with the touch-friendly size in order to make each user have touch-friendly user interface.3. We study the edge bundling algorithm in ontology visualization, and propose the semantic edge bundling technique, which adds the semantical parameter and other parameter into the equation of the electrostatic force in the original force-directed edge bundling algorithm. The semantic edge bundling technique can bundle edges according to their semantics.
