Vertigo is a common frequently-occurring disease that involves multiple disciplines, which is not well known, and many people do not attach importance to the disease. In fact, the incidence of vertigo in the crowd is very high, but, the older, the higher incidence occurs, especially among women. When the head moves to a certain position, vertigo appears, and the eyes of patients will move in less than one minute. Medical personnel can analyze the patients’ eye movement, under the direction intensity, duration, speed, type of nystagmus. From the current situation of vertigo diagnosis, diagnosis and equipment of vertigo are still in development and research which is not very developed. The existing vertigo diagnostic systems are large-scale equipment, which is expensive, not so effective. With the development of the Internet, the telemedicine has been a major trend in the future medical development. For the shortcomings of existing equipment, relying on mobile Internet technology and image processing technology, we have developed vertigo diagnosis system on the basis of mobile terminals.This paper describes the technical means in detail, including the framework, tools and language used in the development of the mobile terminal, and so on.In the vertigo diagnosis system, the most important point is that the positioning of the eye movement analysis. This paper describes the existing algorithms associated with eye positioning, the methods and results of each algorithm, and subsequently analyzes the characteristics of the human eye image, using a suitable eye detection algorithm and experimental comparison.This paper describes the design and implementation process of the whole system. The main function of the mobile terminal includes a user’s head position detection, video admission, and communication web service, etc. Server-side includes video processing, medical diagnosis web platforms, file systems, etc., are currently used in mainstream development platform.Currently, the vertigo diagnosis system based on mobile terminal market is still in blank, so the system can not only enrich vertigo diagnostic equipment market, but also provide a good experimental platform for doctors, bringing convenience for research vertigo.
