As the fast development of information technology and information service, bar code technology is used in logistics, automated production and E-commerce for its high reliability, huge information, and strong security, and boosts the economy in a considerable numbers of areas in many aspects. As the increasing development of mobile service, bar code technology on mobile phone also has its own merits and has already become a trend, and this trend will absolutely boost the development and application of bar code technology. The purpose of this paper is recognizing bar code images captured on iPhone embebbed devices platform.In this paper, EAN-13 coding standard and structral characteristics based on one-dimensional bar code technology are disscussed firstly, image preprocessing, bar code data extraction algorithm and coding principles of one-dimensional bar code are also analyzed.Next, graphic symbols and the code system standard of two-dimensional bar code, especially for Chinese Sensible Code are discussed. Preprocessing of Chinese Sensible Code is researched combining with its own characteristics.Following, in this thesis, Chinese Sensible Code is located according to mathematical morphology method and projection algorithm combining with the characteristics of Chinese Sensible Code, meanwhile, this thesis uses anti-perspective algorithm to adjust image, and uses bilinear interpolation method to calculate the interpolation.Then, the iPhone architecture of embedded systems and technical characteristics are researched, and a number of core technology of the iPhone development language-Objective-C is also discussed.Finally, bar code decoding system based on embedded iPhone system is designed and realized, using the iPhone SDK provided by Apple company, it obtains the bar code image through the camera on the mobile phone, then decodes the obtained bar code image. Better performance of the proposed system is demonstrated by detailed tests.
