The Design And Implementation Of BBS Forum Application Based On Windows Store

With the development of science and technology, the digital device, such as tabletcomputer, smart phones, become more and more popular, which have improved thequality of human life. Windows8operation system, as the revolutionary product ofthe Microsoft Corporation, launched with the opportunity, which attracted amount ofusers for the flexible interoperability, the diverse applications and the supportedmultiple platforms. The technology of Windows Store, as one of the new features ofWindows8system, mainly used for the development of online store applications,which provide the basis for our development in this paper. The author of this paperinitially grasps the development process and development details of the WindowsStore application, then begin to develop the BBS forum system, which includesfunction design, implementation and test.In this paper, we analyzed the BBS forum application of Jilin University in detail,which mainly focus the overall structure and the function modules. And we alsoresearch the actual demand of users which use the Windows8system (include thetablet users and platform users). At last, we described the technical basis, overalldesign, function modules and system test of the BBS forum application which exploitthe Windows Store technology.In the requirement analysis phase, we first comb all the knowledge, whichincludes html parse library, web coding, C++/CX, XAML, but also understand thenew features and the utilization method of the Windows8operation system andVisual Studio2012. On the basis of above technologies, we analyzed the feasibility ofthe system, and also made the demand divide into two part: one is the basic part,includes the html parse library and network communication; the other is the normal part, which contains five modules: BBS home page module, catalog module, title listmodule, and content display module.At the stage of overall design, we designed the overall general framework of theBBS forum application. The framework corresponds with the Metro style, and hasgood compatibility (which can run on all platforms of Windows8system or lateroperation system). The framework is very flexible, has reasonable module division,and has ability of plugin the expanding modules.Then, based on the general framework, we detailed design and implement thevarious function modules, which contains BBS home page module, catalog module,title list module, content display module, network communication module, html parsemodule, and also achieve the data transfer and exception handing part in thesemodules. At the meantime, we observed the relationship among the modules.In the system test part, we carry on the software tests on the system, whichmainly are the unit test, function test, integration test. Through the result of tests, oursystem has good usability, friendly user interface, and also completely meets studentsvisit behavior’s demands for the BBS website.In conclusion, the development of the BBS forum application for multipleplatforms accords with the trend of mobile development. This system achieves certainresults, but it has some shortcoming. We will continue to strive to improve the systemto make it more mature and perfect.
