Along with the advance of modern industrial automation manufacturing technology, the opening visual servo system which is based on machine vision theory has become a current research hot-spot. This article studies the application of machine vision in industrial automation equipment which is based on the servo motion control system. Study and develop the LCD alignment and attaching system for tablet PC using the software development tool LabVIEW in combination with the machine vision hardware, such as CCD camera, industrial lens, image acquisition card and lighting system. This paper chooses the proper motion control hardware equipment according to the application of actual industrial field. Then reasonably design the motion control platform for the LCD alignment and attaching system according to the tablets PC production requirements and the process route in industrial production line.On the basis of existing typical machine vision system, this paper makes the selection of the machine vision hardware which is suitable for this system such as the industrial CCD camera, optical lens,image acquisition card and so on. On the other hand, makes a unique design for lighting system. The alignment and attaching system which is based on machine vision has set up combined with the motion control platform.The software of this system which is control the motion of the mechanism and the image data processing is developed in the platform of LabVIEW. The motion control module sets three layers as the user application layer, drive control layer and interface executive layer. About the vision system module, this system makes the calibration for camera internal and external parameters first on the basis of traditional camera calibration methods. And then realizes the image acquisition module, RANSAC method computing module, linear fitting module, data computing and communication module.The LCD alignment and attaching system is verified its stability and practicability by using in the actual tablets PC production line.
