| Facing increasingly furious competition, Corporation decided to implementnew generation Business Operation Support System. To design NGBOSS, wereferenced to the eTOM model, and planned six application systems primarily. Theyrealized different components of eTOM, and were integrated via EAI platform.One of them is Resource Management System, which is consisted of twocomponents, the first part was based on Microsoft’s COM module, and implementedthe logical resource management for several specialties; and the second part wasbased on J2EE architecture, and implemented the following main functions for thetelecommunication network:Asset management;Devise and implement strategies of the resource assignments;Optimization of the network resource configuration;Aided planning;The construction of Resource Management System involved two parts, the firstone is the design of the system architecture and information module, and the second isthe integration of resource information.The architecture design of the Resource Management System used thecomponents based methodology, and the information module was based on thisarchitecture, and was refined to the physical data model considering the characteristicof the resource entities and configuration flow gradually.There are several methods can be adopted in the integration of resourceinformation. In the implementation stage, we choose the right approach according tothe real business cases, and conducted the preparation and management verycarefully. Based on the design and approach, the Resource Management System has beenrealized and put into production for the pilot, and now we are conducting the roll outfor the other city. After the pilot roll out, the architecture, information module, anddata integration methodology have show the corresponding excellence andshortcoming separately, and the effect of the architecture has been shown more clearlyalong with roll.out and application enhancement. So the design of information moduleis vital for an application system. |
