Research And Implementation Of The Data Sharing Platform In Higher Vocational Colleges

In implementing datamaiton based on higher vocational colleges, various information systems were introduced into the campus, but those independent systems are not planned as a whole and thus not connected with each other. Limited by that "information island", the development of information-based higher vocational colleges is handicapped. To solve the problems caused by "information island" such as basic data inconsistency and repetitive data input, based on study of various application systems, this paper focuses on application of the advanced computer technology, network technology and database technology with scientific and appropriate administrative standards as well as complete and universal specifications for the purpose of constructing secure, reliable and extendable shared data platform that can be easily maintained by integration of various information resources, so as to realize the unification of various application systems in higher vocational colleges and provide convenient and punctual network information services to students and faculties.A data sharing center is an integrated center in higher vocational colleges, which integrates essential and universal data into a single, accurate and consistent database that could be used in every application system, so that data could be circulated and shared in different departments. In this way, data collection and arrangement will not be repetitive, the amount of work and expenses related will also be reduced, and all decisions can be strongly supported. A reliable and unified data platform will be implemented by campus datamation in higher vocational colleges.The development and application of data sharing platform in Hohhot Vocational College helps to solve the problem of information island. In addition, it could also help to solve similar problems and implement data sharing between various application systems in other higher vocational colleges, especially in Inner Mongolia, which can be adapted and used in promoting construction of datamation based on higher vocational colleges.
