Nowadays, the emergence of knowledge economy, the development of information technology and the global popularization of Internet have made the computer network a major tool for the information age. With the development of computer network technology, computer network as a tool has become an indispensable part for human life. Computer network is an important platform for information exchange, while the resource sharing platform is the key to the communication within the school and between the internal and external. At present, the cause of resource sharing platform is developing rapidly. Most of the higher vocational colleges have set up their own network resources sharing platform, and implement a variety of services and applications upon it. The construction of resource sharing platform can facilitate the standardization of specialty construction of the school, bring about the construction and sharing of high-quality teaching resources, improve the efficiency of high-quality teaching resources and increase the number of the beneficiaries, meet the needs of independent learning of the students, develop the social functions of vocational education, and help the construction of life-long learning system of the highly skilled. In recent years, with the continuous development of network technology, viruses and hackers are doing more and more harm to network resources sharing platform in vocational colleges, which has become a major problem plaguing the development of the resource platform in vocational colleges. In addition, the characteristics of higher vocational institutions is to strengthen the training, but how to implement network management on training is also another major problem for vocational colleges.The author works in a vocational college which has constructed its resource sharing platform based on windows since 2000. The operating system we use on the server is Windows2003 Server, The resource sharing platform has functioned well before the year 2006, while after 2007 the platform began to be attacked and damaged by hackers, viruses and page Trojans, which greatly increased the workload for the maintenance of the resource sharing platform. In order to improve the capacity of the server against hackers, viruses and page Trojans, the author installed two anti-virus softwares and the anti-Trojans on the server, which improved the protection capacity of the server to some extent, whereas the response and running speed of the server is significantly reduced, and the platform is still often infected by Trojans at the same time. How to avoid the persistence of this situation is a major problem placed in front of our network managers. The author began to re-select a more secure operating system. With my consulting large amounts of data and the method of installing, trying and comparison, the final Infrastructure Solution was determined the LAMP. The application and system softwares of Linux operating system are almost all open source, which has two implications on virus:First, the virus is difficult to hide in the middle of the open source code. Secondly, the trasmission route of the virus which is only binary will be cut off by one running. Linux vendors also providing plenty of binary packages, but users mostly download the packages with md5 authentication mechanism from the reliable repositories provides by the publisher, whose security tower above windows; In addition, ext file formats of linux server record continuous data with the continuous method and generate very little disk debris, so it can continuously run; windows operating system files are saved to the disk scattered in different places, rather than continuously kept in contiguous disk clusters. The process will result in many fragments, and debris piled up over time, causing the response of the server slower and slower as time goes by. To keep running, the server need to be restarted at short intervals. Basing on these advantages of Linux operating system, we decided to use linux operating system as the operating system of the resource sharing platform.The original resource sharing platform of my College where the author works adopted ASP source code, which could not run stably in the linux operating system in the test. The author confirmed PHP source code can run stably in Linux operating system by comparing, testing, carrying out a variety of sourcecode trial and consulting large amounts of data, the author re-designed the resource sharing platform on the base of PHP source code and made it run on the server with Linux as operating system. The platform performed well according to test.This paper lies mainly on the construction of the resource sharing platform in the vocational college the author works at, focuses on key technologies and theories necessary in the design and constuction process of the resource sharing platform, on the functional design and scheme, particularly dissertates management of the prfessional training modules and design of resource sharing platform of vocational colleges, and provides a specific design, enabling the reader a clear understanding of vocational colleges Linux-based resource sharing platform for the whole process of design and implementation. Via the design of specific cases, the reader gets a more comprehensive understanding of the design of linux-based resource sharing platform for higher vocational collegess.
