The roof prism telescope systems are widely used, but rather plays the role of a relay while folding the optical path to achieve a compact structure of the instrument results, but due to the presence of polarization aberration will affect the image quality of the instrument. With the roof prism broaden the application, how to measure, describe and evaluate the roof prism polarization aberration characteristics to become a key issue. This paper presents a roof prism polarization aberration tester, the tester can function to achieve a given simultaneously detect physical-Jones matrix size roof prism element B factor, the accuracy of the peak offset0.1×10-4rad, excellent accuracy roof surface of the reflector in the phase shift difference of1°of the three parameter values change with wavelength in the visible band; the visible wavelength can be given a zero order diffraction intensity map etc., edge detection spot map, and the light intensity gradation processing of Fig distribution of two-and three-dimensional map, the specific contents are:(1) Characterization of the polarization aberration can be one factor B of the two roof prism obtained Jones matrix analysis, factor B can be characterized by the roof prism polarization aberration method, and B values of the intensity distribution of the diffracted light, the diffraction peak of the light spot offset, and poor relations between the roof surface shift, establishing detection scheme B factor.(2) Designed to compact catadioptric collimator light system, the divergence angle of±70°of the obtained tungsten-halogen light source collimator divergence angle of convergence is less than2°, the spot diameter of5mm emitting uniform illumination light in parallel.(3) Designed to AT89C2051microcontroller core tunable filters for the control of stepper motor controller based on wavelength and wavelength scanning system, which is the interval of wavelength accuracy with4nm wavelength scanning hardware and software under control.(4) For high-performance CCD collected after roof prism light diffraction spot map, using Matlab programming for data analysis of test results.Finally, the design of the polarization aberration of the paper tester optimized structure tester designed using the polarization aberration characteristics of the different systems roof prism measurement, the error may be caused to analyze the experimental and theoretical unanimous resistance, verify the feasibility of the design.
