Differential Frequency Hopping (DFH) is a new frequency hopping technology, It sets the modulation, demodulation and frequency hopping pattern as a whole. Starting from the high-speed frequency hopping, It solves the problems of increasing the data rate and anti-multipath, the anti-track jamming, for the differential frequency hopping patterns are based on directed graph traversal, so differential frequency hopping sequence has a certain ability of correcting errors, to further improve the system performance. All these make the differential frequency hopping technology represent the development direction of the short wave communication anti-jamming technology.On the other hand,Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) has high flexibility,reusability and advantages of short development cycle,has been widely used in communication systems.Starting from the basic principle and performance index of frequency hopping communication system, Focusing on the research of the key technology of differential frequency hopping system. On the basis of the overall,The structure design and design parameter of DFH system is gived.The whole system includes two part:the sending and receiving.In the sending system,mainly includes source module,serial parallel conversion module,frequency transfer function module,DDS module.and the receiving system mainly includes the FFT transformation module、frequency sequence identification module、decoding module based on Viterbi algorithm、frequency transition function inverse transform module、 parallel serial conversion module. In the Xilinx ISE10.1development environment,The thesis gives detailed design for each module using verilog language,Synthesis each module using Synplify Pro9.6.2tools,And gives the Register-Transfer Layer (RTL) design circuit diagram,Using Modlesim6.5a simulation tools to simulate the each module and system.And then combine the transmitting and receiving,give the simulation of the whole system.And at last,The program is downloaded to Spartan-3E FPGA hardware platform to test its performance.The simulation and test results show that Software simulation and hardware test result of the each module and the whole system are correct. The receiver can demodulate the data source correctly. the design requirement of the DFH communication system is basicly meeted.
