With the constant improvement of social attention to education, various extra-curriculartutorial classes have also arisen. There are many different ways for students to receiveextra-curricular tutoring, such as social counseling agencies, tutoring, e-campus, parentguidance, and so on. For social counseling agencies and tutoring, they provide high efficiencyfor students by coaching and mentoring. So, they are the most popular means ofextra-curricular tutoring. But the counseling time is fixed and the higher cost to the family is abig financial burden. The limitation of parent counseling is that their knowledge structure isincomplete. E-campus is a new form of after-school tutoring institutions which provides goodeducational resources of well-known schools for teenagers to study through remote nettechnical. The advantage of e-campus is that it is not subject to time and geographicalconstraints, and the disadvantage is the lack of interaction between students and teachers. Ine-campus, the main study manner of students is self-study, so e-campus cannot answer anyquestions in time, and the students who use e-campus should have higher knowledge base.Due to the above disadvantages, the traditional Internet education is not suitable for primaryand middle school students.Through the above analysis of after-school tutoring, combined with the learning statusand needs of modern primary and secondary school students, we developed the online tutorservice system as an important sub project of iSchool. This is a significant project developedby Mobile Internet of Things Institute of Hebei Normal University and China Mobile to servethe primary and middle school students. It includes the process of full-time study in primaryand secondary school, for instance, learning in school, test in class, homework, tutoring, andso on. The design is aimed to create a multifaceted solution which suits all kinds of student’srequirement of study. Online tutoring system is one of the important parts of the iSchoolproject, it aims to develop a new, real-time personalization of education and otherrequirements into one efficient after-school tutoring system, anytime, anywhere to tutorstudents, discuss issues, to provide students with a low-cost, professional counseling, on time communication network platform.This paper firstly analyses the domestic and foreign related research literatures, withunderstanding the research present situation and the development of related researches in ourcountry and foreign country. This paper expounds the important significance of thedevelopment of Online Tutor Service System and describes its application value. And then,this paper discusses on the architecture and key technology of Online Tutor Service System.According to the theory of software engineering and actual requirement, the paper using UMLtechnology modeling analysis of the system functional requirements, design principles,system flow, etc. The system should be practical, advanced, safe, effective and expansible.Finally, the paper describes the design and implementation of the system. In the system design,it mainly describes the principles, ideas and environment. According to different purposes ofusers, the system is divided into three parts: student-client part, tutor-client part and systemmanagement part. And it meticulously describes both the design and implementation of thesystem functions as well as the database. In systematic realization, we also discuss several keyproblems met in designing, and their related solutions. We studied several applications ofthese new-type communication technologies, including WebSocket and WebRTC. Forreducing the customers’ waiting time solutions, we operate on a strict "first come, first serve"basis. Below the premise on the reasonable operation of the company, the company provideshigh quality services for users in all directions. The system uses many screen shots describingto tool the system realization and describes the key technology. The above design work, thispaper discussed about this idea of design. Analysis related theory of scheme, implementedrelated test and verification. It indicates that the design of the system has reached theanticipated goal from the systematic operation result.This system adopts J2EE as development platform, implements the multi-tier structurewith separation of business logic and data. The whole system is designed in the mode of MVC,B/S, Spring, Hibernate and PostgreSQL so that it has a clear structure, good expansibility andmaintenance ability. The main contents and function modules are introduced in this article.Taking full consideration of the characteristics of the customer, the software of this systemhas comfortable interface, strongly interactive, advanced design, strong data processingVI capability, and so on.At present the system has already been put into the trial service in several areas of Hebei.Practice shows that the system is reliable and can improve efficiency of extra-curriculartutoring, and lead to good results, take on good social effect and promotional value.
