Natural Paradigm Of Mobile User Interface Interaction Device Handheld

In recent years, with the rapid development of the hardware and software of handheld mobile device, the lifestyles of people are quietly changed. However, mobile users do not feel natural and efficient when using handheld mobile device in a mobile environment. Therefore, how to design a highly available application system user interface in this new mobile interac-tive environment becomes an urgent need.The high availability of the user interface requires not only making users feel comforta-ble in the presentation of information in the interface, but also meeting the needs of users in the dynamic interactive process, which means that in order to achieve natural interaction, the unite the user interface’s "look" and "feel" is required. The interaction paradigm based on the specific interaction environment can achieve this goal. It is not only make users feel "pleasure’ when naturally interacting with interaction system in a particular environment, but also can inspire designers when designing the user interface. Compared with traditional desktop envi-ronments, handheld mobile device user interface usability requirements have dramatically changed. However, the current mobile user interface is still directly or indirectly based on the WIMP paradigm of transplant desktop user interface. Although it meets the functionality of requirement, the availability of it is far from the required level. Therefore, in order to design and develop a natural and efficient handheld mobile device user interface applications, mobile usability must be fully analyzed and then find out the mobile interaction paradigm and the design principles of user interface usability that are propitious to the handheld mobile envi-ronment.After thoroughly investigating and analyzing on the context of user interaction with handheld mobile device, this paper gives some innovative suggestions from the perspective of the ability design principles and interactive paradigm. First of all, we analyzed the mobile in-teractive environment and concluded the characteristics of users interact with the handheld mobile device:use natural interactive environment as a metaphor, dual mobility of user and device, content-oriented interactive and so on. And then put forward usability design princi-ples of mobile user interface to help designers design the mobile user interface. Meanwhile, for meeting the mobile availability requirements, an interaction paradigm of handheld mobile devices is proposed according to the complexity and low usability of the current traditional mobile user interface. Additionally, it provides the dominant idea for conceiving mobile user’s interface. Finally, a mobile application system that is designed and achieved on mobile system platform, which is based on the usability design principles of mobile user interface and inter-action paradigm, will be given. And a usability evaluation of the user interface will be made.
