| With the popularity of computers and information technology, network has become an inevitable development. As our country is increasing investment in university education and research projects, the research achievements of the institutes of major colleges and universities are rapidly increasing each year such as papers, patents, projects, books and others. As the personal information is increasing with the increasing of number of institute staff and students, the traditional management mode can not meet the actual needs of University Management Institute. Research institute of mechanical and electrical of Southwest Jiaotong University built the Information Management System following the direction of education reform to improve the management of the institute.Introduced the necessity and importance of the Information Management System, and then generalized the necessary technical knowledge of the development of the system,set up the Microsoft Windows XP IIS5.1+SQL2005as the building environment of the system,analyzed the overall demand of the Information Management System and determined the overall design concept of the system.In the end by using the UML the system designed the sub-modules such as user management, equipment seservation management, equipment management, message boards and research achievements.Users can make appointments of the laboratory equipment、leave messages and check the institute’s announcements anytime anywhere by using the brower. While the system administrator can also manage the laboratory equipment, approval equipment reservation, reply to messages, release notices, release the results of scientific research and so on.The initial application shows that the system designed in this paper has a beautiful, practical, easy operation and comprehensive function interface, the system can also quickly refer and update data simultaneously, after improving the Information Management System can be put into use in the future. |
