Design And Implementation Of On-Line Examination System For Open Education University

With the rapid development of information and Internet, people’s daily lives are increasingly relied on network. The remote learning, Internet college and open education university are set up more and more which make it possible to learn through Internet anytime and anywhere. On-line examination is the basic examination during the remote learning which is based on Internet and multimedia technology. But during the remote learning and examination, relative to the traditional education, the teacher can not know the learning effect of the students and adjust the teaching plan in time. At the same time, the score of the final examination usual act as the final score to the student in the on-line examination, which lead to crash job in learning, and bad teaching reflection. How to design the on-line learning and examination system which is in line with the characteristics of distance open Education University and have a good effect in learning and teaching is an urgent problem to be solved.The research is based on the background of the preparation for the SiChuan Open Education University. Firstly, the research significance and backgrounds are introduced. Combined with analysis of the status at present domestic and overseas and the advantages and disadvantages of the available test way, the design specification of on-line examination system for the Open Education University is proposed. The key technologies of the system are described, and then the whole design is introduced. The system is divided into the item pool management, paper management, sore management, on-line examination and so on. The database used the SQL Server2005, pointed out the relationship among the tables. The procedure of the realization developed by Microsoft Visual Studio.NET2008is proposed at last.The on-line examination system proposed in this thesis can improve the speed of the reflection of teaching effect, and has the benefit of the teaching project adjustment and the change of learning fashion. Besides these, the idea of the test paper pool management and test paper generating based on the knowledge point makes the examination more effective and more Targeted. Finally, based on the edit distance algorithm and the use of similarity make the automatic scoring of subjective question more objective and fair.
