Regardless of the traditional network, or wireless sensor networks, routing algorithms is the key support for network transmission technology. Firstly, this paper gives the characteristics and classification of the wireless sensor networks routing protocol a brief introduction, and analyzes the current classics WSN routing protocol. This paper focuses on the combination of GA and WSN routing algorithm, and analyzes the problem about hierarchy routing algorithm based on GA. Based on this problem, this paper improves hierarchy routing algorithm using GA, by allocating some right relay nodes to the cluster heads which are far away from Sink after the whole network is divided to several clusters. Through the relaying node's transmission, the cluster heads far away from Sink can avoid transmitting data to sink directly. This way can transfer data transmission in long distance to multiple data transmission in the short distance, saving power and enhancing the network life cycle.This genetic algorithm in this paper may divide into two phases. In the first one, the whole network can be divided to several clusters by GA. There is one cluster head in each cluster and other nodes in this cluster are used as sensor nodes, which will send data to this cluster head. In the second phase, the best result from first phase will be used. GA in the second phase will allocate some right relay nodes to each cluster head; cluster heads can transmit data through really nodes. The experiment result show that the performance of two phases GA using really nodes is better than the previous hierarchy routing algorithm based on GA. The algorithm in this paper can save power, and enhance network life cycle.
