With the rapid development of the embedded systems, video surveillance and wireless sensor network, the present study proposed a VIOT (Video Internet of Things) system based on the embedded technology. With the concept of fusion monitoring, we can put VIOT into more applications. The development of embedded VIOT has great significance to promote the construction of various industries, and acts as a catalyst for informatization and industrialization. Mobile video surveillance is an important part of public security and ecological environment monitoring. This study focuses on the application of the mobile video surveillance technology in VIOT. The core compositions are the design of mobile video surveillance nodes and the improvement of mobile ad-hoc network routing algorithm.Through the analysis of research status of VIOT at home and abroad, this present study expounds the development of cutting-edge technologies related to VIOT, including embedded technology, and wireless multimedia sensor network, etc. Base on the analysis of the characteristics and requirements of VIOT system, this paper determined the architectural design of the system node, and completed the design and demonstration of the software and hardware architecture scheme of the system, including established the hardware development platform with S3C2440as its processing core, applied dual-band (2.4GHz and5GHz) wireless communication mode to build self-organizing network for saving communication cost, and selected the embedded Linux system as the operating system. According to the engineering requirements of the embedded nodes, this study finished the construction of the crossing compile environment, and the transplantation and configuration of the boot loader U-boot, the Linux kernel, and root file system.On account of the characteristic that a large number of mobile video surveillance nodes appeared in the application of VIOT, this study puts forward a modified routing protocol AODV (MQDLS-AODV), which is based on mobile quantitative, to meet the routing requirements of more mobile monitoring nodes and more frequently moving. Though the integration and performance testing on the system, it shows that the system has basically achieved the design anticipated effect. The present study is aimed at putting forward some feasible references for the construction of VIOT system, to improve information service capability of the VIOT system monitoring.
