Multi-wavelength lasers are deeply studied by a great number of scholars because of theiradvantages of low costs, the multi-wavelength output and narrow linewidth. There are a great manyrealizations for the multi-wavelength lasers. Such as the ones based on semiconductor opticalamplifier, the ones based on semiconductor laser array and the ones based on spectral slicingtechnology and the multi-wavelength erbium-doped laser. The paper studies the Brillouinmulti-wavelength erbium-doped laser based on the Stimulated Brillouin Scattering effects (SBS).1、A novel kind of ring multi-wavelength Er-doped Brillouin fiber laser is proposed. We use anonlinear amplified fiber loop mirror (AFLMF) as a filter. And we study the effect of adjusting thepolarization controller and980nm pump power on the number of output channels. At last, we get14output channels and50nm tunable range when the PC and980nm pump power gets to a certainstate.2、A novel ring double-Brillouin-frequency spaced multi-wavelength Brillouin Erbium-dopedfiber laser based on AFLMF is demonstrated. We study the influence of980nm pump power, thepolarization controller and the tunable laser source centre wavelength on the number of Stokes lightwave. At last,12even channels are achieved.3、We take experiments on the position of the coupler and circulator and the access mode of thecoupler to optimize the structure of the tunable multi-wavelength Brillouin Er-doped fiber laser. Theresults show that the access mode of the coupler affects the output of the Brillouin erbium-dopedfiber laser obviously and the test results and the corresponding explanations are given in detail.
