3G (The third generation of mobile technology) and WiFi wireless network technology has been developed to the level of popularity at present stage,4G (The fourth generation of mobile technology) has begun to go to our life, and people is beginning to use smart mobile phone more times than private computer, and smart mobile phone has become necessary tools of individual, family and business, even school child go to school with phone, all these make a result that carring data on smart mobile phone refer to many fields such as life, education, security, privacy, business and so on. Mobile decives on Android System have occupied domainant market position, so research on data security on android platform have extentive value and sense.The thsis is aimed at designing and implementing one application of data protection on Android smart phone, which can improve security confficient and guard against losting data and letting out sensitive data.In view of data safety requirement of Android at the present stage, and on the basis of discussing related technologies including Android platform and related key technology of development, cloud database management, mobile information security technology, backup strategy and encrypt or decrypt technology and so on, it is proceeding that feasibility analysis, requirement analysis,general design,detailed design and implemention on adopting object-oriented design principle and techniques. Combining cloud and mobile technology on this paper,inview of situation of threaten to sensitive data on losted or stolen phone,a set of data protection security procedures have been proposed and data protection application on android platform have been implemented. The system implement backuping data to cloud after encrypted and recovering data from cloud to phone after decrypted, data include common data like address list, short information recording and so on and custom data like image, document file and so on. When phone is losted or stolen, you can change the state to dangerous and delete data protection though sending delete order to it, which can keep private data usability, integrity, no leakage. At last, after test case and the environment of hardware and software in testing system are explained at the end improvement direction have been suggested.The system have meet security requirement and solved the security threaten at some level. Of course, it is of significance for the research of mobile data security in the future.
