Nowadays, with the progress of science and technology and the improvement ofpeople’s life, more and more places use the access control system, such as the communityportal, the garage entrance and the public entrance. There are various kinds of accesscontrol system. According to their different characteristics, they have been applied indifferent places. The IC card becomes the mainstream of entrance guard system becauseof its higher security, better convenience and price-quality ratio. At present, IC cardtechnology has been widely used by all kinds of trades, especially the security, publictransportation, identification and wireless communication industry. By selecting thebuttons on the elevator floor, elevator access control system can limit the number ofpersonnel to reach the floor in order to achieve the purpose of easy management andcontrol.This paper designs an elevator access control system based on CAN communication,using NXP Company’s lpc11c14single-chip microcomputer as the core of controller,mainly using RFID and contactless IC card technology. It has the features of low powerconsumption, outstanding performance,simple to use and can significantly reduce thelength of the code, reducing storage space. The system consists of three parts: issuingdevice, card reader, access control card management software.In the design of card issuer, radio frequency identification module, antenna coils andfilter matching circuit will directly affect the IC card identification of distance andstability. Select MF RC522chip, a highly integrated reader/writer for contactlesscommunication at13.56MHz. It is small, low cost with low voltage, and supports allcontactless communication protocol at13.56MHz frequency.The card reader is installed in the elevator car, to receive, identify IC card, andcontrol the selection of elevator floor buttons. Select CAN communication system which is same as elevator control system as the swipe card reader method of communication.Access control card management software uses LabWindows/CVI for interfacedesign on Windows operating system. Card management software can set the elevator IDwhich you can use the card and the reachable floor number, and read the original cardinformation. Its user-friendly interface and easy mode of operation bring convenience tomanagers.
