In the era of advanced science and technology, intelligent access control systemhas become an essential part of the "smart building", to a certain extent, it protectspeople’s personal safety and property security. So the development of intelligentaccess control system research and design has become an important trend. Most of thetraditional access control systems used mechanical lock, IC card, these require theuser must close the equipment, and at the same time, with the key losing and IC cardbroken. Take traditional access control system existed some basic hidden troubles inconsideration, Based on the RFID technology, the paper probe to design a highintelligent, high security of the entrance guard system. It can quickly identify thebasic personal information of the user, and instruct the electronic locks makecorresponding commands. In general, the entrance guard, whether foreign or domesticproducts, small-sized intelligent access control system’s capacity is commonly twothousand people. However, for small companies, convenience stores, the apartment,as well as some other less users’ occasions, al l of these will cause the obviousresources waste. At the same time, because of these occasions for access controlsystem of high demand growing. Thus, developing a low price, high reliability,all-round, low power consumption, durable, small capacity with personnel at about100small intelligence access control system is particularly important.In this paper, the main research work is as follows:Firstly, this paper introduces the subject research background, access controlsystem of the domestic and foreign development situation and the developmenttendency, and through the study of RFID technology, this paper analyses the access control system of intelligent card reader working principles. Then, the system designprinciples, methods and design module are briefly described in this paper.Secondly, detailed introduction of the composition of the intelligent accesscontrol system, access control hardware design, radio frequency card reader hardwaredesign and system of software development. Access controller hardware designincluding micro processor P87LPC767interface circuit, card reader interface circuit,the communication interface circuit, real time clock interface circuit, RF card forreading and writing of hardware design including micro processor AT89C53, MFRC500interface circuit, card reader antenna design and communication interfacecircuit design. The choice of the chip with character of low power consumptionensures that the power consumption to a minimum. On the design of the software, thepaper analyses the structure of the system an illustrates the program flow chart.Finally, the paper sums up the existing shortages, and the future of intelligentAccess Control System development of prospect.The research results and values of this paper:This design intelligent entrance guard system,is a kind of application in smallplaces based on RFID intelligent entrance guard system. When using personnel toenter the access control system detection range, the system automatically access usingpersonnel identity information, and to determine whether for legitimate users, iscorresponding operation. At the same time, it records the basic personal information,and issues a warning signal to illegal invaders. So, the system can provide a safe andcomfortable life and work environment to the users, and prevent unauthorized personuse the entrance guard at will, improve the "intelligent building" security.
