With the deep development of the economic reform in our country, the traditionalpattern of industrial development is getting more and more doubt even criticism. That aseries of problems such as environmental pollution, waste of resources, inefficient, highenergy, low content of science and technology and so on, make people realize that mustfind a higher level development mode, with as much as possible to protect the environment,save resources, improve the production efficiency. The digital factory technology whichbased on the use of information technology is bound to greatly reduce the consequencescaused by a series of problems above. Digital factory technology allows engineers to planvirtual production line before a product is released to production, to find possible designproblems.In this paper, in view of the car roof beams and the back-end plate spot weldingrobot workstation, CATIA has been used to create digital models, and the digital factorylean manufacturing solutions software DELMIA has been used to implement demandanalysis, the welding station planning and factory layout. Through the process simulation,the accurate production rhythm can be confirmed, and the production order error and theinterference of welding process can be eliminated, etc.The car roof beams and the back end plate weld joints are groupedby its weldingprocess and distribution features, robots and weld gunscan be also selected according to theworkstation layout, solder joint distribution. According to the workstation productionrhythm and related requirements, the number of required robot, split stations, layout andworkers canbe calculated. Through the virtual welding teaching robot welding positionadjustment, adding auxiliary points, a robot welding path without interference can befinally found. With the combination of the TSP problem,welding paths can be optimized byusing genetic algorithm and ant colony algorithm.In this paper, through the simulation analysis of the car roof beams and the back endplate spot welding robot workstation, the manufacturing cost can be reduced effectively,the production line rhythm can be optimized, the labor productivity also will be improved.
