The Story Of A "Zi Gan Wu"

The popularity of the Sina Weibo, a Chinese micro-blogging website, serves as a convenient platform to exchange information, which also provides rumor with a breeding ground. Weibo refuters emerged, among whom was "Zi Gan Wu", a group of voluntary online refuters who often post comments favorable towards the Chinese government. Studies and reports were few on the topic of this special group. This project aims to make a feature story about the life of one "Zi Gan Wu" representative by using multimedia techniques.This project is mainly about the personal experience of a "Zi Gan Wu" member, who started the refutation after participating in a demonstration in Denmark and made it a hobby from then on. The feature shows the interviewee’s opinion on refutation and also the other’s feedback. In the end, refutation on WeChat is also mentioned.
