At present, liquid crystal displays are rapidly becoming a mainstream product of the market because of its small volume, lacking of radiation and low power consumption. But as people pursue a better visual effect, it has higher requirement for the performance of the liquid crystal display products, therefore, performance test before delivery of the LCD panel has become the key factor to raise competitiveness of LCD panel manufacturers. Now, most LCD panel manufacturers use PC control software and testing equipment to test the LCD screen. After the detailed analysis of the needs of users, this paper designs a kind of liquid crystal screen detection software which is based on Linux and running on the LCD screen detection equipment. The software can be used for the basic quality detection of the LCD screen by manipulating the PC control software. This paper mainly studies the following contents:Firstly, the hardware environment and related concepts of the LCD screen detection system are introduced.Secondly, the demand of the software system is analyzed, and the overall framework of the software system is introduced, in addition, the software design principle, testing method and the building of the development environment are briefly introduced.Thirdly, the design of each module in the software system is completed, including message transceiver module, preprocessing module, cutting the figure module, power module and automatic operation module. The message transceiver module builds communication mechanism for PC and other four modules. The preprocessing module and power module complete the configuration function for the parameters of the screen. The cutting the figure module and automatic operation module complete cutting the figure function and automatic cutting the figure function on the screen.Finally, the combined test is completed for the PC control software, pattern generator with screen. The test results show that the software system works steadily, and achieves the expected design goal.The design of a previous moving map algorithm is an innovation of the paper. The algorithm of the program can download the images to the memory in advance, and achieve fast cutting and display correct graphic for large capacity images. The algorithm has certain reference significance for the LCD testing industry.
