Human-computer Interaction Design Of Intelligent Intercom Based On The Mental Models

This study is based on actual project that is the intercom system design with China Telecom Qchat telephone intercom business. This project focuses on the exploring the android platform HCI system with good user experience. During the research around the user-centered design process, I start a research from the perspective of the user mental models. Mental models are about cognitive theory. Mental models can be used in human-computer interaction research is based on its guidance of user’s behavior. Before the commencement of the interface design of intelligent intercom I do the study of implementation platform of intelligent intercom and traditional radio interaction patterns, in order to get to the user’s the mental models of the intercom business environment in the platform. The next step through the user interviews I establish intelligent radio users according to the results of the interview to support the design of the subsequent characters model. Then according to the results of previous research build the intelligent interactive mode of intercom system, detail process and the interface design. Finally, doing the usability test for the design to make sure the design same to the user’s mental mode. According to the evaluation results put forward amendments, guarantee the product has good availability when released.
