LTE-Advanced(LTE-A) is the next generation mobile communication technologywhich based on the evolution of LTE(Long Term Evolution),it can provide higherdata rate, better service quality and higher spectrum utilization as well as have goodcompatibility with LTE. In order to solve the inter cell interference and improve theperformance of cell edge users,3GPP proposed Coordinated Multi-Point transmissionand reception (CoMP) and other new technology. In2009September, heterogeneousnetwork was formally considered as one of the new features of LTE-A in3GPPmeeting. Then CoMP technology in LTE-A heterogeneous network has become thehot research issue of companies and institutions.The introduction of low-power nodes enhances the cell coverage, however, makesthe cell scenario more complex and the inner cell interference more serious. At thesame time, because of the lower transmit power, the coverage of low-power nodesis smaller and the number of users which access to the low-power nodes is muchsmaller than that to macro. As the result, the load of macro is extremely high and thecompetition between users is fierce. On the other hand, the resources of low-powernodes are idle and it is very difficult for the system to obtain the cell split gain. Thisdoes not accord with the purpose of introduction of new nodes, which aims toimprove the system environment and meet the requirements of heterogeneoushierarchical network design.In this paper, the classification of CoMP and the method of cooperative node’sselection are firstly introduced. Then the problems of CoMP technology inheterogeneous network are analyzed. The DPS technology is verified based onthe heterogeneous CoMP scenario, it can effectively improve the performance of the edge users. After that the Burst model which based on the FTP model of3GPP isdesigned to simulate real user service. The method of realizing load imbalance amongcells by setting the parameters of Burst is studied. Finally, this paper puts forward twokinds of new DPS algorithm. Through simulation and analysis, the new algorithm cannot only enhance the edge user experience, but also solve the system performancedegradation problems which are caused by load imbalance in heterogeneousnetwork in a certain extent.
