With the rapid development of the Internet,network-based data traffic is increasingrapidly. In terms of the development of network technology, The growth of processingspeed and memory access speed in servers is much slower than that of the applicationservices and the network bandwidth.In traditional stand alone,if the server is downtimewill be result service interruptions.Web-based technology to do load balance for servercluster without allocated flow in accordance with each server’s processing power, andneed depthly analysis of the packet, resulting that in a large flow the packet forwardingefficiency is lower. It’s simply get the packet header fields, according to the headcontent shunt, without having to parse the contents of the message and forwarding isvery efficient to do load balance based on the IP layer protocol. Therefore,it’snecessary to study the load balance technology based on IP layer protocol to improvethe forwarding performance of the cluster system, the reliability and stability.Server load balance (SLB),achieves that distributing the client traffic to the serverby the diversion strategy,the load of each server in the cluster in a relatively balancedstate. This article using the V7project of company which is a routing and switchingplatform for server load balancing as background and the author participates in duringpractice,server completing the load balancing model and the load balancing schedulingpolicy based on the four-layer protocol.Firstly,this paper introduces the features of the V7routing and switching platformand several commonly server load balance networking model used,and studys severalload balance scheduling policy.Then according to user demand and refering to therealization of foreign,this article,from system scalability,maintainability and reusabilityprinciple, analysises and designs the server load balance system model, and analysisesthe packet forwarding process and load balancing scheduling policy in-depth. Finally,this article achieves a four layer server load balance function module, and builds testenvironment, by unit test, system integration test for load balance module. Throughanalyzing test results which indicates that the module and schedule policy in this paperimplemented greatly enhances the system forwarding packet rate and improves thestability and reliability of the system.
