Sound positioning technology in recent years has got more and more attention, however,affected by the flexibility, ease of use and accuracy of the algorithm and other aspects of theirapplication,it still have some limitations. The key lies in sound localization techniques: First,the real-time system, the second is the accuracy of the system. Existing sound localizationalgorithm computation is large, generally to reduce the cost of accuracy to achieve real-timerequirements, so research sound localization algorithms and methods to solve the contradictionbetween real-time and the accuracy of sound localization has practical value and significance.Based on research of existing sound localization method, we analyzed several currentpopular sound localization methods, focused on the most widely-based positioning delay to reachthe microphone array; established appropriate coordinate system, gave precise formulas tocalculate the parameters involved in sound localization. On this basis, we propose a viable,high-precision, real-time sound localization system solutions by using a dual phase lock-inamplifier circuit directly and accurately measure the sound signal to replace the original delayestimation algorithm, which reduces computation, ensures that the voices of real-time and highprecision positioning and obtains a high noise immunity. Subsequently, we design themicrophone array sound positioning system based on ARM processor which includes a signalsource circuit, the pre-conditioning section, the sound receiving circuit, high-precision samplingcircuit and the ARM processor included peripheral circuits five parts. For each part of hardwarecircuit, we tested the function, analyzed the positioning algorithm to achieve the goal of practicalapplication.Finally, we used the sound source signal in actual noise to test this system, and analyzed thetests. The results show that the system’s hardware has good performance and the softwarelocalization algorithm is simple. The system is real-time, high precision and has strong anti-noisecapability with the actual value.
