The technical research of Sound source localization has become a hot topic in recent years. It involves many technical areas, such as Digital Signal Processing, Intelligent Optimization Algorithm. This paper plays an important application value in industrial, civil and military fields, especially for counter-snipers, localizing the position of sound source efficiently which is of great importance to control the situation and to safeguard lives. This paper creates a model about Source Detection Positioning based on microphone array, and achieves SP(Source Position) accurately and efficiently through the summarized word of our predecessors, the research of the microphone array positioning technology in the field of passive acoustic detection of space.This paper proposes the using of T1’S digital signal processor(DSP) and uppercomputer combination of means to achieve the study of the sound source positioning systems for the real-time and accuracy requirements of the sound source positioning system. Because there are many tasks and large amount of calculation in sound source positioning system, we use DSP hardware platform to control and pick up sound signal of array microphone,and the uppercomputer used to implement algorithms of sound source localization, such as endpoint detecting algorithm, sound signal’s feature identification algorithm, time delay estimation algorithm, the positioning algorithm, etc.This paper studied CCCTDE(Generalized Cross Correlation Time Delay Estimation) which has a less computing time. In order to utilize the TDE value of weight function efficiently, we improve it by the theory of MMS(Minimum Mean Square). The simulation result proves that TDE’s accuracy has improved obviously. In terms of the microphone array model,this paper mainly studies the model about microphone array of sound localization system based on 3-D space, then establishes a six microphone array of 3D which is different from traditional four microphone array of 2D and 3D,and creates the positioning algorithm. In terms of system real time optimization, we use the endpoint detection algorithm to apply to the sound signal received by microphone to extract the effective sound information segment, Greatly reduce the data computation of the follow up algorithm, efficiently improved real-time property.In this paper,we design and implement the sound source localization system, including the build of hardware system platform and the implement software algorithms. Finally, we conduct some experiments on the system respectively in the 2D and 3D, and analyse the experimental data. The results showed that the sound source localization system is able to accomplish the acoustic source localization, which has the feature of high stability,good real-time and fewer errors.
