Social economic grows rapidly and people’s living requirements will correspondingly increasewith the rapid development of modern information technology Meanwhile, people want to changethe needs among different scenarios to meet the daily lighting needs and create comfortable andconvenient environment. Smart phones are most popular in present situation. there are a greatdiversity of memory modules in smart phones. These communication modules make it possible indeveloping of interior intelligent lighting system through a smart phone. A simple, full-featured anduser-friendly indoor illumination client software is designed through the Android platform which ismost common smart phones system in this paper. Wireless local area network from the group WiFiand custom communication protocols are also added in this software. The control software systemcan be directly mounted on the phone with Android system, a simple operation can be achieved tocontrol interior lighting system by mobile phone, so this system has a good prospects and markets.Background and significance of this system are introduced in this paper, the present situationand development trend of indoor lighting is discussed briefly, as well as articles and abroad mainstructure are also described; then, the basics ofAndroid system, including components introductions,architecture description and life description cycle has been stated in detail. After that, a descriptionof functional and non-functional requirements analysis of the system is given, and a detailed designof the Android-based phones interior lighting system client software based on this proposed overallsystem are put forward. And then, the Android development environment is set up, and the functionof each module in the Android client is achieved, these modules include single lamp control, globalcontrol, system management, and data storage as well as asynchronous interface mechanisms. Oneor more LED switches and dimmers in a room can be controlled and embodied in the client. Inaddition, in order to change the indoor LED lights, lamp can be added or removed to meet userneeds. Meanwhile, modification, information, WIFI hotspot such as its name, password settings,changes, and security verification for each lamp is achieved.There also lists a detailed presentation about network communication system. Wireless lightcontrol modules which communicated each other are realized through Socket Communications, anddifferent transport protocols are compared, the broadcasting control of LED lights is easily realizedby UDP transport protocol, the data communication protocol which suitable to this design is alsoachieved.At last, a unit, function and whole system test for this client to ensure the correctness andstability is added during software running. Test results show that the various functions of the client software can be operated normally, data can be stable and reliable transceived in communications,indoor LED lights remote controlling is realized, and the design specifications are mainly reached.
