Wireless Sensor Network technology monitor and sent the information of the environment or the detection of targets to the user in multi-hop form in ad hoc wireless network by integrating into various functions of small sensors. The characteristics of WSN are low power, low cost, high stability, and that made WSN become one of the fastest growing and the most development potential high-tech in the field of science and technology in today’s world. The ZigBee protocol is defined in the IEEE802.15.4protocol standard. ZigBee is characterized by small size, low power, low complexity, low cost, short range, low rate, mainly for short-range wireless network connection, has many applications in military, healthcare, environmental monitoring, industrial control.This thesis studies the principle and network performance of the routing algorithm under the ZigBee protocol of Cluster-Tree, Flooding, the AODV and AODVjr. In the process of route discovery by AODV algorithm, the node will repeatedly send a lot of useless messages, directly result of increase in network routing overhead and routing tables does not save other valid path after route discovery process, if a node is a sudden failure can only be re-initiate the route discovery processing, which means that the network routing efficiency is not high. Therefore, improve the AODV algorithm for the shortcomings of the routing overhead and the low use efficiency. AODVbj algorithm set the routing nodes through used the cluster-tree network structure and address distribution methods of the Cluster-Tree algorithm, to ensure network integrity and robustness. Modifying the routing table of routing node in AODV algorithm, so that the rout can judgment before forwarding the data, then forward data according to the judgment result, so as to reduce the control packet number and the routing overhead.By setting the same network parameters in NS-2simulation software, correspondence simulate AODV, the Cluster-Tree, AODVbj and improved algorithm. This thesis tested the four parameters of routing overhead, packet delivery ratio and average end-to-end delay and average number of hops, and found that the improved algorithm in ensuring the better of the four parameter index, overall network performance is better. This thesis provides a reference model, reference methods and reference data for the actual network design and applications.
