Fisheye lens have a large field of view, which is nearly or even more than180°, so comprehensive monitoring can be achieved when it’s used in video surveillance systems and that makes it have incomparable advantages. But the captured image has a serious barrel distortion, so the research of image correction turns to the key link in fisheye video surveillance. On the basis of existing fisheye image correction algorithms, the advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms is analyzed in this paper and a new paraboloid of revolution perspective projection model is proposed on the basis of spherical perspective projection model. When it is applied to video surveillance, a good correction effect is obtained. For the purpose of showing in different perspectives, an optical center transfer algorithm is proposed and the perspective transfer is achieved. In addition, a panoramic view unfolded algorithm is proposed. At last, the above image correction algorithms are applied into fisheye lens monitoring systems, and the centre expansion, multi-view expansion and panoramic view expansion display modes are achieved.
