As the pulse fiber lasers play a pivotal role in the important areas of medical, laser printing, laser processing, laser communications and military, and in order to make pulse fiber lasers better and more efficient used by people, this paper has mainly studied on the laser modulation characteristics to make it work steadily at the most modulated efficiency point.Firstly, the paper put up the experimental platform based on PYFLK02pulse fiber lasers, then drives the acousto-optic Q switch through the acousto-optic Q driving source, then provides the adjustable modulated pulses ranged from50kHz-200kHz for the acousto-optic transducer namely repetition frequency, and realizes the intensity modulation of the pulse fiber laser, and studies the modulation characteristics in theory, and obtains characteristic curve between the repetition frequency and the laser shock parameters through theoretical derivation.The technical indicators used in the experiment are the pulse width3.09ns, the repetition frequency up to200kHz, the highest peak power1000W and the average output power about600mW.
