In this paper, research work has been launched on the problem of weak signal parameter estimation in the context of non-Gaussian noise. First of all, the mathematical model and its characteristics of several common non-Gaussian noises are analyzed, and focus on the a stable distribution, because the signal model can describe the practical application of the non-Gaussian noise very well, providing an important reference value of the theoretical model for post-simulation. Then, by studying chaos theory, and on the basic of further analysis characteristics of Duffing chaotic system, proposed a new chaotic systems critical threshold criterion method based on the periodicity of the solution. and gives the specific implementation steps, the performance of the algorithm is tested on the Matlab simulation platform, the experimental results show that the new method can effectively make a decision on chaos threshold, and it has the advantages of simple algorithm and small amount of calculation. Finally, the new chaotic threshold criterion methods used in weak signal amplitude parameter estimation, the simulation results show that compared to the traditional method, the proposed method significantly improve both the speed and accuracy of detection.
