With the research on chaos theory has matured, use the characteristics of chaotic systems to detect a weak signal has been concerned more and more, and achieved great progress. At present, use the chaotic oscillator to detect weak signals by observing track changes of the system or based on system characteristic exponent.In this article we start from the basic definition, firstly introduced some methods of detect weak signal in time domain and the basic knowledge of chaos theory. Then studies the model of duffing oscillator that was often used in chaos system at present, analyzed the theory of use this model to detect weak signal and made the simulation experiment for each condition of chaotic system. Has studied the way of detect frequency of an unknown signal, gave an improvement idea in allusion to measuring cycle in the frequency detection. Finally, we study the method of detect telegraph signal, gives the basic ideas and algorithms; get the bit error rate through the simulation experiment. Give the form of the dual-band transmitter and the detection algorithm; get the bit error rate and comparison with the traditional way.
