With the continuous development of laser technology, the laser polarization modulation technology in laser communication beam riding guidance and confidential communications field has increasingly wide application. In order to overcome the impact of atmospheric laser communication system in atmospheric turbulence and background noise, while adapting to the non-mechanical adjustment space optical communication environment, in this paper, an intelligent LCD optical rotation control and detection technology, flexible optical rotation control using liquid crystal polarization modulation of the laser design based on liquid crystal polarimeter complete detection of the polarization properties of the laser signal.The paper first describes the basic properties of the liquid crystal and the polarization properties of light waves, liquid crystal optical rotation control and polarization detection mechanism. Given a complete set of liquid crystal optical rotation control and detection scheme, to complete LCD polarimeter overall design, focus on the completion of the design and production of the hardware control circuit detection circuit, the part of the ARM7processor core as a data operator and system control, Photoelectric conversion, signal conditioning, data acquisition, and polarimetry control combined with peripheral devices.Adjustable electrically controlled liquid crystal variable retarder,to overcome the wear problems of the conventional rotary wave plate,motors or other moving parts and is introduced into the source of vibration problems due to the mechanical motion,elimination of the mechanical error, Labview graphical programming language to complete the data processing and data display, Not only the program is designed to be intuitive and easy, At the same time, but also the more simple and user-friendly operator interface.
